This series includes four mini-courses developed by Lambton College.
To enroll, click on the course name. This will take you to the account creation page, where you must fill out the required information to set up your login credentials and complete your enrollment.

In this mini-course, you will learn a variety of things that can help you determine your career goals, including self-reflection, creating a skills inventory, researching labor market information, and taking advantage of free online tools to better understand your strengths, interests, and potential career matches.
In this mini-course, you will learn about the different styles of resumes and guidelines for when to use each. You will learn which sections to include in a resume and how to connect transferable skills from previous work experience to the requirements in a job posting. You will also learn how to write a professional-looking cover letter and common mistakes to avoid.
In this mini-course, you will learn about searching job boards and using them to apply for jobs, how to use LinkedIn and other social networks as part of your job search, the importance of first impressions and proper etiquette at career fairs, and how to maximize your chances of securing employment once you have established a professional network.
In this mini-course, you will learn what to do to prepare for an interview and what to consider when choosing references. You will learn about different types of interview questions and the STAR technique to help prepare for answering common behavioural-based questions. You will also learn how COVID-19 is impacting the interview process.
